The theme song to HWYW was created by Ted "Teddy" Leo and has been the shows theme song since Episode 1. The theme is punk-rock inspired and features a strong drum beat and electric guitar. The lyrics include:

"Catching up on television, should be catching up on sleep,

listen to me going on, I haven't even let you speak,

how was your week?"
